These screen shots and
instructions will help you configure your DNS settings to work with Pacific Online.
You can use any DNS settings you desire, however any variation of what is
shown below may cause your Internet access to have problems accessing web
pages, e-mail etc. If you have any questions about configuring
your DNS settings please call Pacific

You may notice minor cosmetic differences between the screen
shots supplied here, and your computer. This may be due to different
version (s) of Windows 95/98 and should not effect the overall performance of your
system.

Step 1
Open My Computer, then open Dial-Up Networking. Right-click on Pacific
Online then select Properties.

Step 2
Uncheck the "Use area code and Dialing Properties" checkbox.
Click on the Server types tab located at the top

Step 3
Make sure that you have PPP selected for
the Type of Dial-Up Server. Under Advanced options the only box you should have selected is Enable Software
Compression. Under Allowed network protocols; the only box that should be selected is TCP/IP.
Now click on the "TCP/IP Settings" button.

Step 4
Both IP address and Name
Server addresses should be set to "Server Assigned" and both IP header compression
and Default Gateway boxes should be checked on. If you have any
information in either of these boxes delete the data and set both
boxes to "Server Assigned".
After you are done here, click OK. Click
OK again when you return to the original Properties screen.
