These screen shots and instructions will help you configure your DNS settings to work with Pacific Online.  You can use any DNS settings you prefer, however any variation of what is shown below may cause your Internet access to not be able to access web pages, e-mail etc.  If you have any questions about configuring your DNS settings please call Pacific Online or write to support@pon.net

You may notice minor cosmetic differences between the screen shots supplied here, and your computer.  This may be due to different version (s) in software and should not effect the overall performance of your system.

Open your apple menu, go to Control Panels and click on MacTCP.

Make sure PPP is highlighted and then click on the More button at the bottom of the screen.

Under Obtain Address, change it to manually, and enter Gateway Address, Domain & IP settings as shown below.

Make sure that ns.pon.net / 216.229.96.11 are set for the default.

Now change Obtain Address back to Server.  You will notice that under IP address, the class will change back from C, to A.  Be sure to change that back to class C.

Before you continue, check your screen to make sure it looks identical to the screen shot on the left, then click OK.
