VOICE ECLIPSE FEATURES

ve911/Emergency Service
VoiceEclipse will be offering its ve911/Emergency Service in August 2004.

In an effort to provide continued safety to our customers, VoiceEclipse will provide its new ve911/Emergency Service to all customers who register for it. When you dial 911 using your VoiceEclipse phone service, your call will be routed from the VoiceEclipse network to the Public Safety Answering Point (or PSAP) which services your area. The PSAP is a facility where an operator can receive your call and inform an emergency response agency, such as the police or fire department servicing your area.

There are significant differences between the ve911 Service and that of traditional 911 services. Please refer to the Terms of Service document for the specific details.

VoiceEclipse customers will have the option to select this add-on service. There will be a small monthly fee for the use of ve911

Number Portability
The switch to VoiceEclipse is easy...Not only do you save money, get better quality and more features but you even keep your current phone number! When you sign-up for service you will are assigned a brand new VoiceEclipse number. At the end of the sign-up process you simply need to complete a quick form to essentialy tell your current telephone service you are taking your phone number with you (its called "Local Number Portability" or LNP). Of course the choice is yours - you can get a brand new number or keep your old one to make it easier on your friends and family.

Local Number Portability may not be available in every situation. Your current telephone service provider may deny this request for various reasons (unpaid account charges, prior agreement by you that you won't request LNP, etc...). VoiceEclipse will make every attempt to help you keep your existing phone number.

veFax
veFax is a powerful feature that allows you to receive faxes delivered right to your E-Mail! When anyone wants to send you a fax to your VE phone number, the VoiceEclipse server detects an incoming fax and transforms that into e-mail and delivers it right to your inbox. Its that simple! You control this feature through the VoiceEclipse Features Manager - a website utility that controls all the functionality of your VE account. Change the email address faxes go to on the fly and manage your faxes and your account online.

Call Blocking
Call Blocking is a service that prevents calls from pre-selected numbers you enter to a "Call Block List" which will keep those callers from ringing through. Call Blocking lets YOU decide which calls to block. Add as many phone numbers you desire. With Call Blocking you no longer have to regret answering the phone.

Anonymous Call Blocking
Whether you utilize a phone with a Caller ID screen or not, every call that comes in contains Caller ID info. This feature denies ANY call that does NOT contain Caller ID information or is blocked by the caller. Many telemarketers do not pass Caller ID info and would therefore be blocked from ringing through to your telephone.

Call Forwarding
Send incoming calls to any phone number you choose.

VE Call Forwarding is loaded with features like:
  • Forward to any number in the USA or Canada
  • Control how long call forwarding attempts to ring a destination number
  • Control the number of times your VE phone rings before forwarding to another number

Call Return (*69)
VE Call Return, also known as *69, returns your last incoming call automatically. Just dial *69 and your VE service will dial back the last call made to you. When you press *69 a voice prompt will announce the return call number. The voice prompt will also ask you if you wish to return the call.

Voice Mail
No need for an answering machine ever again and this Voice Mail is loaded with extra features.

VE Voicemail allows you to:

1. Play Back Your Messages on your phone or even by Email
You can check your voicemails through your phone like traditional services. You can also access your voicemails through email and play them back through your computer. You can have an email notifying you every time you receive voicemail and attach the actual message via a sound (wave/.WAV) file. You can forward voicemails to others as an email attachment or even save them to your computers hard drive. Most of the media player formats are supported.

2. Check Your Voicemail From Anywhere
Check your voicemails by phone across the country.

3. Customize Your Voicemail
Turn features on or off anytime you want. Activate email notification at a touch of a button. Record greetings for different hours of the day and different days of the year. Choose a new passcode for voicemail access whenever you want.

Speed Calling
With just a push of a button, you can dial a phone number instead of dialing 11 digits. You can program in phone numbers for just about everyone you know with up to 99 online programmable speed-dial numbers! So your time is spent talking, NOT dialing.

Caller ID
Caller ID shows you the number of the caller on a digital display on any Caller ID enabled phone or Called ID unit.

Call Waiting
VE Call Waiting allows you to accept an incoming call while you're already on a phone call. Your first call will be placed on hold while you answer the second incoming call.

Switching Between Calls
While you're on the phone, a beep alerts you to another incoming call. With the right equipment, the new phone number will display on your Caller ID device. If you want to take the call, press the flash button or switch hook on your phone to enable Call Waiting. Calls that you don't answer will go to voicemail.

Disable Call Waiting
Use your VoiceEclipse web account to activate/deactivate Call Waiting for all calls. If you want to turn call waiting off for a single call, just press *70 before you dial the number. Call Waiting will be temporarily disabled until you complete the phone call.

"Find Me"
The Find Me feature allows you to define up to 3 numbers for hunting purposes. Once a caller dials your VoiceEclipse phone number, the system re-routes the call in specified hunting mode to try to locate you (1st number, 2nd number, 3rd number). If you don't answer the 3rd number, the call will be routed to your Voice Mail. Hunt numbers can be local, long-distance, cell numbers - virtually any phone number you specify - thus allowing you to roam your phone services nationwide.
