ISDN (Integrated
Services Digital Network) connections are
installed the same way that normal phones lines are except Pacific Bell or your local telephone
carrier must install and prepare the phone line for digital service. An ISDN adapter
must also be installed in your computer or on your network. ISDN connections have rates of data
transfer from 64Kbs to 128Kbs often refered to as 1 B channel or 2 B channels. ISDN is
well suited for the small to medium office or heavy Internet user. Pacific Online offers
ISDN in two connection types; Dial-up ISDN and Dedicated ISDN (routed ISDN). There is also
a service from Pacbell called Centrex ISDN which allows clients within our Centrex calling
area to be excluded from per minute connect fees. Centrex ISDN service is only for
Dedicated Connections because specific phone numbers from Pacific Online must be installed at the
customer's location. Call Pacific Online to find out if you are in our Centrex access area.
Below are the descriptions of both types of service and prices. If you have any questions

Dedicated ISDN - Centrex
Dedicated ISDN Internet Access is for small
offices or individuals who need to be connected to the internet 24 hours a day. This is
important if you are running a Web Server or Email Server or need fully routed full-time
access to the Internet. This service is fully routed meaning that your network will become
part of the Internet if you wish. We will provide the Necessary IP address space for your
router and workstations. Requests for a Class C or large blocks of address may cost extra
and take about 15-30 days to receive. We suggest that these connection types be Centrex
ISDN so per minute connect charges will not be applied. Equipment needed by the
customer is a ISDN router and a ISDN phone line (2B+D from PacBell). Pacific Online can
also setup your ISDN router and network based on our hourly networking
consulting fee of $80. Prices are based on the average traffic usage for 30 days. The 2
tiers of traffic are 0-64kbs and 64.1-128kbs. All dedicated connections are monitored by
our NOC 24/7. Network management by our NOC is also available. See below.

Pipeline or comparable. Pacific Online can resell Pipeline products to the client at

Dedicated ISDN - 56K Channel
Dedicated ISDN 56K Channel Internet Access is
for small offices or individuals who need to be connected to the internet 24hours a day.
This Service is available in all Pacific
Online 56K POP locations. This service uses Pacific Online's Digital Modem 56K
service. Our 56K Service can take both 56K modem calls and ISDN calls (Voice Over Data).
We will provide up to 32 IP addresses for your router and workstations. Equipment needed
by the customer is a ISDN router and a ISDN phone line (2B+D from PacBell). Pacific Online
can also setup your ISDN router and network if you wish based on our hourly networking
consulting fee of $80. Prices are based on the average traffic usage for 30 days. The 2

Pacific Online ISDN Total Connect Package
Pacific Online offers a ISDN Total Connect
Package. The Package can be added on to any of the above Dedicated ISDN plans. These
add-ons are discounted from normal rates because they are packaged with a Dedicated ISDN
plan
- Email Accounts
Pacific Online can setup and maintain Email accounts for Dedicated ISDN customers with or
without their own domain name.
Prices:
1-4 Mailboxes (5 address/aliases each) $2.00 each/Mo.
5-9 Mailboxes (5 address/aliases each) $1.75 each/Mo.
10 or more Mailboxes call for quote
- Web Site or Web Page Hosting
Pacific Online can host a Web Site for you or your business. Web sites are also charged on
average monthly traffic. Pacific Online can offer Web Site hosting services to Dedicated
ISDN customers at or normal rate but will not charge Dedicated ISDN customers a setup fee.

- DNS Server (Domain Name Server)
Pacific Online can host ISDN Dedicated customers Domain Name for no additional charge. If
you or your business has more than one Domain Name Pacific Online can host those also for
a One Time $40 Setup Fee.
- Network Monitoring and Control
Pacific Online can Monitor your Network which is connected through your Dedicated
ISDN connection. Pacific Online can monitor workstations, servers, and your ISDN router.
If devices on your network stop working or if your network becomes unreachable the Pacific
Online Network Operations Center can page you (Numeric or Alpha), send you email, or both.
