56K DIALUP NUMBER CHANGE
Instructions for the # change
are found towards the bottom of this page
Pacific Online is changing all 56k dialup numbers by August 4,
2006. This change allows us to provide more than 40% more dialup
numbers nationwide. We recommend you change your dialup number
to the new dialup number well before August 4, 2006; in fact you
can change the number at this time. After August 4, 2006 all
current Pacific dialup numbers will no longer work and you must
use the new ones.
This change does NOT effect your Email, Propel
Accelerator*, or any Web Sites you may have hosted with Pacific
Online.
*Note: The Propel Accelerator software
speeds up your dialup connection and is available at no
additional charge with your Pacific Online dialup account.

closest to your location.
Pacific Online is not responsible for any toll charges incurred.
If you have any doubts as to whether a number is a local call
for you, please check in the front of your AT&T Yellow
Pages Directory (under Customer Guide > Local Calling), OR you
can contact your operator (dial 0 from the phone your computer
uses to connect to the Internet) and they can check for you. |

DIALUP NUMBER CHANGE INSTRUCTIONS
If you are using the Pacific Online CD dialup software (Windows users
only): Open the Pacific Online icon and click on the
"Settings" menu. Add an @pon.net to the end of your
username (i.e. if your username is "joesmith", it should
now be "joesmith@pon.net"). Change the dialup phone
number. Now Close the Pacific Online window. The next
time you open the Pacific Online icon, it should be
dialing the new phone number. That's it, you're done
(stop here)! |
